Our Rich History
While the name Aviva is fairly new, our roots go back more than 300 years, making our parent group, Aviva plc, the oldest continuously operating insurance group in the world.
Aviva companies have been involved in insuring many historic figures, from Sir Isaac Newton to John F. Kennedy, and paying claims after historic events, such as the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and the sinking of the Titantic.

Street to School
With Street to School, we've made a global commitment to help 500,000 children worldwide get off the street and into school or training over the next five years. In the U.S., the program concentrates on projects addressing both prevention of dropouts and intervention for children who have left school.
